

Bernice was born January 9th, 1930 to Reverend Grady P King Sr. and Sara Ann Cosby King in Monroe, LA.
She is survived by daughters Deborah Martin (Casey), Donna Krella (Stephen), Susan Fisher, one son Rodney Price (Shonna), one brother James A King (Linda), twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Bernice married the love of her life, Aubrey L. Price, in 1950 and were together for 59 years before he preceded her in death in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Ann Price Lewis, son-in-law Tommy Lewis, granddaughter Amanda Marye Hughes, her loving parents, Sara and Grady King, and three brothers: Grady P. King Jr., Richard E. King, and Charles Dewitt King.
She enjoyed her travels as a military wife around the globe. She made lifelong friends with lasting memories of adventures that she spoke of often. She then settled in Roanoke, Texas in 1965 where she worked at Denton State School until her retirement in 1992. A few of her favorite pastimes were crocheting, cooking, and reading her bible. She became a dedicated member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and was deeply devoted to her faith and family. She cherished the time spent with her family between both Roanoke and Montgomery, Alabama.

Bernice passed away peacefully at home with family by her side. She will be loved and missed dearly by her family.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 1:00 pm, with funeral service to follow, at J.E. Foust and Son Funeral Home, 523 S. Main Street, Grapevine, TX 76051.
