Herman Joseph Robinson Jr. of Euless, Texas, traded his earthly home for his place in Heaven on May 31, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman J. Robinson Sr. and Vivian LaPrairie Robinson.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; his children, Carl Joseph (Janna), David Johnson, Deanna Wilson, and Denise Hasenheyer (Glen); his 14 grandchildren; his 5 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Sol Gerard (Jerry) (Carolyn). His dog, Clark Kent, was his companion for the last two years. His love of family was paramount in his life.
He graduated from Christian Brothers College (University) in Memphis with an Engineering Degree. He worked on numerous helicopter and airplane fuel systems in the Texas area. He was a fishing guide at his beloved Caddo Lake and had an antique refinishing business at Caddo.
His love of music took him to playing the guitar in several bands in high school and beyond. He also had a passion for cooking. Above all were his love of his dogs—Gomer, Mr. Buster, Rascal, and Maggie May, just to name a few.
He was a devout Catholic from the time he was born until the day he passed away. There will be a Mass at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Bedford, Texas, with the time TBA.
He gave to numerous charities, so in lieu of flowers, here are his charities: Tunnel to Towers, St. Jude, Wounded Warrior Project, Shriners Hospital, Alzheimer’s Association, and Easter Seals.
