

Jim is the son of the late Cherrie and James B. Anthony, Jr. Born in Oklahoma City on March 6, 1946, he was a graduate of John Marshall High School and served in the Air Force Reserve for six years as an aircraft radio repairman. Jim was happily married to his wife, Nancy Anthony for 58 years. Jim and Nancy lived in Forney, Texas for over 45 years, where they raised their three sons.
For 31 years, Jim worked for the Eastman Kodak Company as a customer equipment service manager and computer systems technician. For the last 7 years of his career he worked as a computer systems engineer for Sun Microsystems and Fujistsu.
Jim will be long remembered for his kind and generous personality, for his electronics and computer savvy, and for his undeniably delicious barbecue. He was a loyal friend, always ready to help anyone in need. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Jim is survived by his brother Sam Anthony and wife Virginia (Gini) of Sand Springs, OK; his sons Jay Anthony and wife Elizabeth of Colleyville, TX, Gary Anthony and wife Kori of Godley, TX and Scott Anthony and wife Sarah of Chapel Hill, NC; grandchildren Molly, Mason, Cashmere and Sevyn and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Volante Assisted Living in Grapevine for the loving care and friendship provided the last two years. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, November 8th at 11:00am at J. E. Foust & Son Funeral Home in Grapevine.
