James Edward Swann II

James E Swann, 81, of Grapevine, TX passed away peacefully after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease the morning of Monday, September 5 2016.

Memorial Service: 10:00 AM Saturday, September 10, 2016. Foust & Son Funeral Chapel 523 S. Main Street, Grapevine, TX.

Jim was a kind, caring, and devoted husband, father, brother and friend. A graduate of the University of Texas and North Texas State University with a Master's degree in Education, he served as a Systems Engineer (Computer Programmer) for IBM for 25 years. Along with his late wife he owned and operated IRED.com real estate company, pioneering the concept of Buyer's Agents in Real Estate. He was actively involved in Grapevine's downtown restoration.

Jim was preceeded in death by his wife, Becky Swann. He is survived by his children Alycia Fulcher and husband David, of Durango, Colorado; and Tracy Swann, of Nashville Tennessee; grandchildren: Dillon, Cory and Evan Fulcher; sister, Sue Foy of Bryan, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
