Janet Louise French, 79, passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at a Houston hospital surrounded by her family. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday, March 4, in the chapel of J.E. Foust and Son Funeral Chapel, 523 South Main St., Grapevine, with the Rev. Tolli Macalik and the Rev. Sterling Smith from Whites Chapel United Methodist Church officiating. Janet Louise Depew was born Feb. 16, 1937, in Dallas. She married William Earl French on March 16, 1956, in Southlake. They had two children during their marriage, Felicia and Valerie. She lived in the Fort Worth area from 1956 until 1977 when they retired to Chico. After losing her husband Bill in 1992, she remained in Fort Worth for 22 more years before moving to Sugar Land in 2014 to be near her daughters. Survivors: Siblings, Doug Depew of Oklahoma, Carol Depew of Texas, Marguerite Robins of Colorado and Carl Depew of California; her daughters, Valerie Hughes and Felicia George; grandchildren, Craig Coleman, Brooke Coleman, Katie Harding and Kevin Hughes; and great-grandchildren, Miles Hughes, Melanie Reid, Brock Reid and Jean-Luc Wilkison.
