Born January 5, 1947, in Lubbock, TX to Ike and Joe Pearl Gregory, he grew up working alongside his parents, brother and three sisters on the family farm in Ropesville, TX and later in Hobbs, NM. Joe Dow married his high school sweetheart Sandra Gale Long, in 1967, and their bonds of marriage remained strong until Joe's passing. Gregory and Gregory was a family-run business also employing Joe Dow's mother, Joe Pearl, and his sisters Jimmie K and Tibitha. During their 52 years of marriage, Joe Dow and Gale raised three sons, Isaac, Daniel and David-celebrated their sons' marriages to daughters-in-law Bethany, Kim and Natalie and rejoiced at the birth of 7 grandchildren Ella, Grace, Tripp, Audrey, Christina, David and Abigale. Joe Dow loved the Lord, his family, his Sunday school class and church as well as many lifelong friends. He also loved fishing, vigorously salting his food, the Baylor Bears, chasing wild investment schemes, such as the much-maligned "Inferno Snuffers" and giving WAY too much candy and sweets to his adoring grandkids who knew him as "Pa". Joe Dow is truly loved and adored by all that knew him.
