John Vernon Workman Jr.

John Vernon Workman Jr. , “JW” , age 57, of Dallas, Texas passed away on December 21, 2022. John was born September 9, 1965 in St. Louis, Missouri to John Sr. and Judy Workman. He was the oldest of three children.

John grew up in Cahokia, Illinois and graduated from Cahokia High School in 1983. He continued his higher education by completing an Associate Degree in Arts at Florida Community College in Jacksonville, Florida. He later obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Illinois. Years later after moving to Dallas, Texas John continued his quest for knowledge by earning his MBA at the University of Texas at Dallas in 2013.

John was Vice President of Whitney Harris, a computer consulting firm. While most of his contracts over the last 20 years were in the Dallas area, a few special assignments took him to continents and countries outside of the United States, including Australia, Canada, England, Ireland, New Zealand, and Slovakia.

John had an outgoing, creative personality. He enjoyed woodworking, collecting art, and travel. His travels took him to many countries and continents. He enjoyed meeting people and learning about their interests.

John’s life touched many and he will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Visitation: 4PM-7PM, Thursday, February 9, 2023, with eulogies from the family and friends to begin at 6PM at JE Foust and Son Funeral Home.
