Joyce Carolyn McCorkle

Joyce Carolyn McCorkle, 88, from Keller, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 14, 2025. She was born on May 14, 1936 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born to Vida Lucille and Thomas Albert Bohannan.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, James (Jim) Thomas McCorkle and her parents, as well as her brother, Don Bohannan. Joyce and Jim were married on April 4, 1958, in Dallas, Texas. Joyce was a graduate of both North Dallas High School and Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Keller, Texas.

Joyce enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains in Colorado and New Mexico. She found great pleasure in gardening and cooking. She also enjoyed tennis and both water and snow skiing.

Joyce is survived by her beloved sons, Allan (Katie) McCorkle of Canyon, Texas, Dale McCorkle of Covington, Texas, Russell (Sandra) McCorkle of Keller, Texas, and daughter, Cheryl (Dennis) Anderson of Lubbock, Texas. Joyce was a grandmother to 12 grandchildren and great grandmother to 16 great grandchildren.

Other survivors include her loving brothers, Wayne (Wanda) Bohannan of Hurst, Texas, and Roger (Donna) Bohannan of Keller, Texas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
