Judy moved back to the DFW area 15 years ago, after retiring from a 36 year career as a CRNA (Anesthetist). She had zest for life, travel, and family that never stopped. Throughout her adventurous life, she traveled all over the world, from Spain, to Russia, to Cuba, Brazil, Greece, England, and many more stops. Whether it was on a trip to Mexico in the 70’s to help those less fortunate, or an Anesthesia meeting with colleagues, or time with her children or friends.
She graduated from Anesthesia School at TCU in Ft. Worth, TX where she started her career at All Saints Hospital, followed by Graham Regional Hospital, then moved with her family to Oklahoma City where she worked at Deaconess Hospital for 15 years. She later moved to Germantown, TN and finished her career at Baptist E. Hospital in Memphis.
In Memphis, TN, she received her Masters in Political Science and graduated (again) at the age of 50, showing it’s never too late to follow more of your dreams.
Judy was also a member of MENSA for many years, the largest and oldest high IQ Society in the world, which explains her zest for life and eagerness to challenge herself tirelessly throughout her entire life.
Even with all of her accolades, Judy cherished her 3 daughters and grandchildren the most, always having time for them and putting them first. She made friends not only at work, but all around the world, and in all walks of life. She is loved and missed by so many in so many ways, but will live on in our hearts forever.
