Kenneth Eugene Von Storch

​Born and raised in Pennnyslvania, he graduated from Central High School in Scranton and later served in WW II in the Army Air Corps. The son of the late Robert Kenneth von Storch and Luella Blanch Brown von Storch of Scranton, Mr. von Storch moved to Texas after he graduated from Technical school with a degree in Aviation Mechanics. His fiancé, Esther, joined him there and they were married in October of 1948. They made Hurst, TX. their home and there they raised their four children. Ken worked at General Dynamics in Fort Worth before retiring in 1986. He and Esther retired to East Texas where he was active with the volunteer fire department and sang in the church choir. While enjoying retirement, Ken and Esther traveled the world and was very involved in building the Holly Lake Chapel, their local church.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Esther von Storch of Bedford, TX (the former Esther Marguerite Schild of Scranton); daughters Vaunie Stewart of Dallas, TX. and Amy von Storch-Sherry of Flower Mound, TX.; sons Kenneth von Storch of Colleyville, TX. and Andy von Storch of Little Rock, AR., and five grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mr. von Storch will be held at St. Paul UMC in Hurst, TX on 1/26/19 @ 10 am.
