Uncle PacPac,
From as far as I can remember you have been part of my life. At various stages of our lives, we have been more or less close both physically and relationship-wise.
What has not changed is your dedication and love for your (whole) family. As the eldest, you have been taking care of all of us. You have been kind, inclusive and a pillar in our lives. I cannot thank you enough for all the things you have done and given us (not in terms of material but of as an example to follow, values and morality).
Watching you first with all your “Lucky” and then with your new family made me realize how soft you were on the inside and all the love you had to give. You (are) have been both strong and loving.
What I really hope is that you had the opportunity to enjoy your life and find peace. You had to go through hardships but all you deserve is (was) to be loved and cared for. I think that you found a new purpose in the past decade and that give me some comfort.
I was shocked by your premature departure and tried to make sense of it but can’t. I regret not having been able to come visit you more often and to have the chance to chat with you. I am very very sad and still think it is unfair that this virus stole you from us. I cried and still cry a lot.
I have wonderful memories from all our trips to the mall, Costco, Walmart ... gigantic sushi platters.... showering lucky husky... doing to the gym with you or on walks ... I had never imagined that they would be memories so soon.
Say hi to Tata and Neinei for us. They have been watching over us and I feel particularly me. We now have another angel caring for us.
Love you
Mimi

Pacpac is driving me to Fort Worth Stockyards because he wanted to show me Texas longhorn.
Lucky wanted a kiss while he was driving :).
He also wanted to take me to South Fork Ranch but i was running out of time before catching my flight and he said « next time ». I should have spent a couple of days more to enjoy family time instead of rushing back to work...
I’ll keep all the happy moments forever

I took this photo on my last visit 3 years ago. My uncle (Pacpac as we called him being his niece) is holding Lexie, my cousin Kyle’s dog.
On my last visit, I remember Pacpac drove me to Costco because Mimi wanted some beef jerky.
We also went to the dog park with Lucky. He was very proud to show me how Lucky was good at catching his tennis ball.
He was also very social, I remember him chatting with other dog owners who all knew and loved Lucky.
We went out for lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant to eat a noodle soup.
He always took good care of me whenever I visited and I felt welcome in his home.
He was always the one to pick me up at the airport and advising me not to leave without him or follow someone I didn’t know, even if I’m an adult... that was sweet.
Thank you for everything you’ve done for me and the family.
Love you always

We were eating, and Luckie asked for food. Dad told Luckie go eat dog food, no human food. He was wearing the blue hat all the time because he thought mom did a bad haircut for him.

Dad was washing hand. I was using my new camera to take pictures for him. He always says the same thing that he is not photogenic. I said no, you look really good on the camera.
