Luella Dalton, 90, entered into rest on October 14, 2014. SERVICES: 2pm Friday at First Baptist Church Grapevine. Visitation 6 to 8pm Thursday at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Home, Grapevine. Luella was born November 21, 1923, in Archer County, Texas, the oldest of nine children, to Bennett and Ola Mae (Holmes) Stone. She was a 1941 graduate of Holiday High School and a graduate of Draughons Business College in Wichita Falls. Luella had lived in Grapevine since 1942. A 65 year member of First Baptist Church of Grapevine, Luella had worked as Church Secretary , taught Sunday School for 44 years and was also a member of the choir. Luella loved children and was a Secretary for Cannon Elementary School in Grapevine for 25 years. She was an active supporter for Meals on Wheels and Women's Ministry for many years. She enjoyed cross stitch, playing the piano and she was an avid Texas sports fan, watching anything with a ball in it. She and Doil Dalton were united in marriage on January 23,1943. SURVIVORS: Her loving husband of 71 years, Doil Dalton; daughter, Jeannie Cheatham of Lantana; sons, Michael Dalton of Cleburne and Craig Dalton of Southlake; brothers, J.L. Stone and Holmes Stone both of Holiday, TX; sisters, Jo Hawkins of Auburn, AL and Sue Price of Spring, TX; grandchildren, Kelly (Gwen) Cheatham, Derek (Heather) Cheatham, Amber (Matt) Clay, Jerihmy (Lorri) Dalton, Franci (Justin) Hardisty, Cassi (Dan) Webb, Maegan (Nick) Covelli and Missy Dalton; great-grandchildren, Brookes, Dalton, Halle Caroline, Drew, Emily, Ellison, Luke, Sam, Will, Beck, Taylor, Corey and Holly; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dan Stone and B.W. Stone; sisters, Ann Jackson and Juanita Grace and son-in-law, Eddie Cheatham.
