

In loving memory of Maria Antonia “Tonia” Salinas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, 68, went to her eternal rest on January 28, 2015. Tonia was born on February 23, 1946 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She lived happily with her husband, Simon Salinas of 47 years, in Grapevine, Texas. She was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Grapevine where she humbly served as a lector for many years. Her interests included reading, sewing, cooking and making friends. In addition to being survived by her husband, Simon, Tonia is survived by her son Rene M. Salinas and wife Christina; daughter Marissa Alvarado and husband Albert; grandchildren Caroline Salinas, Mateo Alvarado and Santiago Alvarado; brother Juan Quintero and wife Alejandra; sister Cecilia Moya and husband Carlos; and many family members, all of whom she loved dearly. Viewing will be held at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, February 1 from 3:00-6:00pm, Rosary from 6:00-7:00pm. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 2 at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Grapevine. She will be laid to rest at Grapevine Cemetery. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the many beloved friends who helped in prayer and in her time of need.
