Melton Laboski

Memorial service: 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, in the chapel of J.E. Foust and Son Funeral Home, 523 South Main Street in Grapevine, Texas.

Melton was born to Steve and Lena Louise Grifford Laboski Jan. 30, 1950, in Fort Sam Houston. He graduated Roosevelt High School in San Antonio where he met Elizabeth Jackson and later married her. They were married 28 years and later divorced, but remained great friends.

Melton was employed as a Master Mechanic for FedEx. His hobbies included fishing, tinkering in the garage, grilling and helping his son in law build things. Melton was a generous man who was kind and never asked for anything in return. He was a man of few words but when he did talk, he had everyone laughing.

He is preceded in death by his parents Steve and Louise Laboski.

Survivors: His daughter, Kim Laboski Villanueva and her husband, Daniel Villanueva Jr.; and granddaughters, Peyton Elizabeth Villanueva and Campbell Diane Villanueva, all of Southlake; his brother Michael Laboski; a sister-in-law, Cathy; nephews, Jon-Michael and Matthew of Houston.
