Michael Lynn Caram, affectionately known as Mike, passed away on August 2, 2026, at the age of 78. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, on September 28, 1947, he was the son of Abram “Abe” Caram and Mattie “Pat” Caram.
Mike graduated from Richland High School and later attended Tarrant County Junior College. He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps Reserves, an experience he considered one of his personal accomplishments, particularly completing his Marine Corps training program in California.
Mike dedicated 25 years of his career to General Motors. He and his beloved wife, Barbara “Barb” Caram, made their home in Hurst, Texas, where they built a life centered around family, hard work, and love.
Mike and Barb shared 55 years of marriage. Together, they raised two sons, Casey and Cody, and Mike was incredibly proud to watch them grow into two wonderful men and raise families of their own. He deeply loved his daughters-in-law, Samantha and Mindy, and treasured his grandsons, Cooper and Clay. His family was one of the greatest sources of joy and pride in his life. Mike and Barb worked hard together to provide a good life for their family, creating a foundation filled with love, dedication, and countless memories.
In his free time, Mike enjoyed playing golf, watching television, and spending time playing games on the computer. He had an appreciation for the simple pleasures in life, including root beer floats and chocolate éclairs. And, of course, he especially enjoyed winning a few golf tournaments along the way.
Mike will be remembered for his love of family, his pride in the life he and Barb built together, and the many memories he created with those he loved. He leaves behind a family who will carry his memory with them and miss him dearly.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara “Barb” Caram; his son, Casey Caram, and his wife, Samantha; his son, Cody Caram, and his wife, Mindy; his grandsons, Clay and Cooper; his sister, Anne Byers; his niece, Teresa McCormick; and his beloved pets, Pearl and Austin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abram “Abe” Caram and Mattie “Pat” Caram, as well as various beloved friends and family members.
Mike will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
