Nancy Gaye Anthony

Nancy is the daughter of the late Alford and Daisy Prince. Born in Oklahoma City on March 14, 1946, she was a graduate of Putnam City High School. Nancy was happily married to her husband, James A. (Jim) Anthony for 58 years. She and Jim lived in Forney for over 45 years, where they raised their three sons. Nancy was an active member and volunteer at Fellowship Forney Church.

For many years, Nancy worked as a substitute teacher and administrative assistant for the Forney Independent School District. For the last 25 years of her career, she worked as an administrative assistant at the Texas A&M University College of Dentistry.

Nancy will be remembered for her sweet personality and kindness to everyone she met. She was a loyal friend, always ready to help anyone in need. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Nancy is survived by her husband Jim Anthony; her sister Sally Nickel and husband Richard of Oklahoma City; brother Randy Prince and wife Barbara of Oklahoma City; her sons Jay Anthony and wife Elizabeth of Colleyville, TX, Gary Anthony and wife Kori of Godley, TX and Scott Anthony and wife Sarah of Chapel Hill, NC; grandchildren Molly, Mason, Cashmere and Sevyn and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank her loving caregivers, Vivian Sen and Sonia Verner, and the staff of Volante Assisted Living in Grapevine. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, January 25th at 2:00pm at J. E. Foust & Son Funeral Home in Grapevine.
