Nancy Tanel

Nancy McAlpin Tanel Nancy was born in Louisville, MS, on March 14, 1950. She lived in Jackson, MS, for 30 years. She graduated from high school in 1968 from Pearl High School. She attended Belhaven College in Jackson, MS, from 1968-1972, majoring in Elementary Education. Nancy worked for various schools in Mississippi for several years as an elementary school teacher. She moved to Dallas, TX, in 1980, where she attended a technical school. After completing her courses she was hired by IBM, working in Tech Support. She married in 1985 and moved to Toronto, Canada, where she continued to work for IBM. Nancy moved back to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area in 1994. After suffering from severe Rheumatoid Arthritis for many years she was taken home to be with Jesus, the Great Physician, on January 13, 2015, where she was given a new body, no longer needing a wheelchair and having no more pain. Nancy was much loved by her family who will miss her terribly but know that one day we will all be reunited in our Savior's presence. Nancy is survived by her mother, Nancy, and sisters Billie, Patricia, Mary and Amy. She is also survived by two nephews, Jason McAlpin and Nathan Alcantara. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 15, 2015 at J. E. Foust & Son Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville, Texas.
