

Lt. Col Noel Ray Reynolds age 91 of Fort Worth, Texas passed away peacefully on October 24, 2020. He was born in Sweetwater, Tx on November 16, 1928. Ray graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas Texas and received a Physical Education degree from University of North Texas. He later received his Masters of Business Administration. He was married to Elizabeth Ann Smeets on May 9, 1954. Ray had a career in the United States Air Force as a fighter pilot for 22 years. He flew F-4’s in the Vietnam War and received the Distinguished Flying Cross with four Oak Leaf Clusters. After his retirement from the Air Force he and his wife Liz started a commercial apple and peach orchard in Forestburg Texas “Miz Liz Orchard”. Ray had a deep love and appreciation for nature and loved growing his apples, peaches, pears, plums, grapes and maintaining a large garden.
He was preceded in death by his father Dennis Jackson Reynolds, his mother Edna Verona Crider, brothers and Sister in laws James and Mary Reynolds, Bill and Vina Reynolds, Dennis and Avalon Reynolds.
He was survived by his wife of 66 years Elizabeth Ann Smeets, his children Larry and Debbie Reynolds, Doug Reynolds, Laura and Billy Glass and Steve Reynolds, his grandchildren Billy Ray Glass, Matt and Ashley Glass, Josh and Heather Glass, Cody Reynolds and McKinsey Reynolds, his great grandchildren Bella, Beau, and Bear Glass.
Graveside services with full Air Force honors will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Perryman Cemetery in Forestburg, TX
