Patricia Ellen Hurley

Patricia E. Hurley, 53, of Grapevine passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. Service: Liturgy of the Word will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 12, in J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Grapevine. Visitation: The family will visit with friends from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to the American Cancer Society . Patricia was born to Edward Leo and Joan Delores Gill Hurley on Aug. 30, 1962, in Pittsburgh, Pa. She was a graduate of Duquesne University and worked for many years in marketing and advertising. Patty loved to read and travel, especially with family, but her favorite times were spent vacationing in the Caribbean. A true sports fan, Patty continued to follow her beloved Pittsburgh sports teams, particularly the Steelers and Penguins. She loved to cook and enjoyed music and live theater with her friends. Patty took great pleasure doting on her nieces and nephews, as they held a very special place in her heart. Patty was an extraordinarily loving and caring person, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors: Siblings, Edward Hurley (Susan), Maura Puglio (Donald), Erin Knoll (Daniel), Michael Hurley (Gretchen) and Kathleen Hurley; loving nieces and nephews, John, Katherine and Christopher Hurley, Juliana Puglio, Caroline Mays (Greg), Caitlin Knoll, Brighid Huber (Michael), Michael Hurley and Sean Hurley (Sabrina); and great-nephew, Leo Hurley, who became the apple of her eye when he was born to Sean and Sabrina on New Year's Eve 2015.
