Patricia Ann Richardson Morgan

Pat was born on October 6, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, to Paul James Richardson and Mary E. Bingham. She grew up in the Dayton area and graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1965.

Her career path was as dynamic as her personality. Pat first worked in retail before moving into the travel industry, which brought her to Dallas. She worked as an executive secretary and even served briefly as a patrol officer with the Dallas Police Department. Later, she relocated to Ardmore, Oklahoma, where she co-owned and operated a Bonanza Steakhouse.

Her passion for law enforcement never faded, and she joined the Ardmore Police Department as a uniformed officer. She went on to work with the District Attorney's office, supporting attorneys across five counties. In that role, she became a rape and domestic abuse advocate, often working undercover when needed. Friends and family recall that her police scanner was always on, and if duty called, she grabbed her purse - complete with her .38 Special - and headed out the door.

After marrying David "Dave" Morgan, the couple moved to the Kansas City area, where they welcomed their son, Aron. Pat cherished being a mother and was known for ensuring that Dave and Aron left the house dressed appropriately for every occasion. In 1990, a job transfer brought the family to Southlake, Texas, where Pat quickly became active in Aron's school and sports activities and built lasting friendships in her neighborhood.

Creative at heart, Pat loved crafts and was highly skilled at needlepoint. She later worked at Kohl's, first part time and then full time, enjoying both the work and the employee discount.

Pat is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years and caregiver, David Morgan; their son, Aron Morgan, and his wife, Cassie: and two beloved grandchildren, Lennox and Nash. She also leaves behind her cherished dogs, Tux, Opal and Mini Me.

She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as dear aunts, uncles, and cousins.
