Prellie Dean Tillery

Prellie was born on July 6, 1931 to parents William and Flora Swaggerty. Her family moved around a lot during her younger years, but she always enjoyed spending time in the summers with all of her cousins at her grandparent’s farm in Tennessee.

Her family settled in Dallas, TX, during her sophomore year and she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. She worked at the telephone company after graduation, where she met her husband through a work friend. Prellie married George Tillery, Jr. on January 7, 1956 and they lived together in Grapevine, TX, where she became a member of the First Baptist Church of Grapevine.

Prellie was a loving aunt and would do anything for her family and friends.

Prellie is survived by her Sister Peggy Furgeson, Nieces Connie Hnatishion, Joyce Furgeson, Cheryl Young, Terri Furgeson and Courtney Riddle, Great Nieces Cherie Barnett, Cassie Furgeson and Rachel Young, Great Great Niece Natalie Barnett and Great Nephew Brandon Bass.

Prellie was preceded in death by her husband George Tillery, Jr.

Funeral service will be held at JE Foust and Son Funeral Home on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Grapevine Cemetery at 12:00 pm.
