Randy was born in Memphis, TN to Randall and Rachel Hindman. He attended Memphis Tech HS and Memphis State University. On Mother’s Day, a Sunday, when Randy was a senior at MSU, the Jessup Brothers, an evangelistic team comprised of his favorite uncles, filled the city auditorium to an overflowing crowd. Having just lost one of their non-family key singers, when they left town to head to Gadsden, Alabama for their next concert and revival, they replaced the lost tenor with Randy. For many years, with his “golden” voice, Randy traveled and sang all over the US with the Jessup Brothers, various quartets, and several other Southern Gospel groups. Later in life, Randy worked at Fox Rental locations in Grapevine and Euless for over 30 years. He loved it there – and was made to feel so much a part of the Fox Rental family! As a family, we cannot thank the great folks at Fox enough! In addition, Randy and his wife owned the Sunshine Travel and Cruises Travel Agency. They traveled the world and were often joined by extended family.

Randy leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Gwen Reeves Hindman, and six children: Pamela Daley (Jim) of Katy, Randall Hindman, III, (Tina) of Van Alstyne, Todd Hindman of Austin, Robert Hindman (Sheri) of Corinth, Ginger Hindman of Carrollton, and Michael Shawn Hindman of Denton. In addition, Randy is survived by 10 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild. Randy is also survived by a sister, Charlene O'Brien, and brother, Byron Hindman.

I can close my eyes and picture Randy singing hymns with his Jessup uncles. Some of my favorite memories are from our family reunions when we would all enjoy wonderful food, fellowship and music. I am so grateful for our loving family of faith and the strong bonds between us that will never be broken. I love you all.
Karen
