Richard Allen Morris was born on March 13, 1949 in Madisonville, KY and went peacefully to join his Lord on May 17th with his wife and son by his side. Richard was kind and caring man who loved his wife, son, and three grandchildren.
He was avid golfer (which for those that knew him is an extreme understatement) and a talented amateur painter. In his youth he was a star baseball player at the University of Missouri where he met his wife, Beth. He spent his career as a Human Resources Executive, providing caring guidance to all he worked with. He went back to college in his thirties, attending on nights and weekend, and graduated from Maryville University in St. Louis, MO. This set an example for his son that he would take and keep with him throughout his studies.
He was dedicated to his wife and companion of nearly 55 years, Beth, as they spent a lifetime together raising their son, moving, exploring, and sharing time with their friends across the country. She will be lost without his companionship and will cherish all the memories they made together. His son, Aaron, considered him his best friend, and will forever cherish the time they spent on and off the golf course talking about golf, life and anything else.
Richard is survived by his wife, Beth, his son, Aaron, and his wife Emily, and his three grandchildren, Bailey, Grayson and Kade. He will be missed by anyone who met him and the difference he made on those around him will endear, continuing to make the world a better place even with him gone.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Richard’s name to the First Tee - Fort Worth (www.firstteeftworth.org). A service will be scheduled at a later date in Schertz, TX.
