Ruth Helen (Moore) Hight, 97, passed away on January 12, 2023, at Lighthouse Assisted Living in Ft. Worth, Texas. Ruth was born in Waurika, Oklahoma on November 9, 1925, to Marcus Lightfoot Moore and Virginia Indiana (Robinson) Moore.
Ruth was known for her bright smile and loving heart even through life’s obstacles. Throughout her entire life, she was happiest around a table of family and friends playing games like Bridge, Dominoes, Bingo, and Yahtzee. Most notably, she never met a person she did not accept and love unconditionally.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 45 years, James “Dick” Richard Hight, brothers, M.L. Moore and Tom Moore, sister Lucy Hughs, son Richard “Rik” Hight, and daughter Becky Kessler. She is survived by her son, Ronald “Ronnie” Hight of Euless; grandchildren John Hight and wife Shelley of Sarasota, Florida, and Jodi Schleter and husband Robert of Terrell, Texas; great-grandchildren Richard Hight, Cameron Carter, Adam Carter, and Clara Beth Hight; and many nieces, nephews, and caregivers, all of whom she cherished dearly.
A funeral service for Ruth will be held Friday, January 20, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Directors, 523 S MAIN ST, GRAPEVINE, TX 76051, followed by a committal service at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park
