William Madison Rigby

William “Will” Madison Rigby of Grapevine, Texas, passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 51. A devoted husband, proud father, beloved son and brother, and loyal friend, Will lived his life with faith, resilience, and an unforgettable sense of humor.

Born in Fort Worth and raised in Weatherford, Texas, Will graduated from Weatherford High School in 1992. He went on to earn his degree from Texas Tech University in 1998 and built a successful career as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones.

Will’s life was a testament to his deep faith in God. He faced challenges with grace and strength, trusting in God’s plan and drawing hope from his beliefs. That faith gave him the courage to persevere, the heart to encourage others, and the peace to greet each day with gratitude and joy.

He was a passionate advocate for those living with spinal cord injuries and was actively involved with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, the S.C.I. Support Group at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Dallas, and Grapevine AMBUCS. Through his advocacy, generosity, and example, Will helped lift others up even in his own hardest moments.

Will is survived by his loving wife, Melinda (Payne) Rigby, and their two young sons, Waylon and Nolan Rigby, who were the greatest joys of his life. He also leaves behind his parents, Mike and Sunnye Rigby; his sister, Amy Wiles and her husband Eamonn; and nieces Hadley and Clara Wiles. He will be missed dearly by his extended family, and aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of cherished friends.

Will’s presence lit up every room, and his laughter and kindness left a lasting imprint on all who knew him. His love for his family, his community, and his faith will be his enduring legacy.

A celebration of Will’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Home, 523 S. Main Street, Grapevine, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation or the Neuro Assistance Foundation in Will’s memory.
