

Dr. Allan H. Goldberg, passed away on March 9, 2022, at the age of 93. Allan was born in New York City on March 23, 1928 to Herman and Rose Goldberg and graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1949 and received a Masters of Arts and Teaching in 1951 from New York University. He received his podiatric degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1955 and then served in the Air Force until 1959, when he was honorably discharged as 1st Lieutenant.
Allan met Marylin while she was working at his father’s law office and they were married on August 31, 1952. He ran his podiatry practice for over 45 years in his offices in New York City and Great Neck where he served his patients with the utmost grace and respect.
Allan was a long-time member of Temple Israel of Great Neck. He served on the Board of Trustees of his cooperative at Kensington Gate where he and Marylin lived for the past 16 years, having lived in Great Neck since 1960. He enjoyed watching sports, playing golf and bridge and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also loved going to experience live theater with Marylin and actively followed the news.
Allan was a soft-spoken, kind, caring and compassionate man, who always showed concern for others. He had a warm sense of humor, big smile, and was loved by those who had the pleasure of meeting him. He had a love for animals, especially dogs and cats, which were his grand fur babies (Coco, Shaina, Zulu, Skyler and Luna).
Allan is survived by his wife, Marylin, of almost 70 years; his children, Debbie (Don), Michael (Jenny); and grandchildren, Lauren, Jonathan, Leah and Daniel.
A funeral chapel service for Allan will be held Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at RIVERSIDE NASSAU NORTH CHAPELS, 55 North Station Plaza, Great Neck, New York 11021. Following the funeral chapel service will be a committal service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Riverside Cemetery, Saddle Brook, NJ.
