Andrew H. Wainer

Born in Brooklyn, NY on October 21, 1945 to William and Sally Wainer, Andrew grew up to be a pillar of kindness and love to all who knew him.

While known for his unrivaled sense of humor, his warmth and his love for his family, Andrew also had a lifelong passion for the Opera as well as a deep love of travel which saw him span the globe many times over.

Andrew was a devoted and loving father to sons Michael and Douglas and a proud and loving grandfather to Benjamin. Andrew was the beloved husband of Isabelle Wainer for over 50 years. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Sally and is survived by his sister, Zelda, wife Isabelle, sons Michael and Douglas, daughter-in-law Amy and Grandson Ben.

Andrew was a Private 1st Class in the United States Army receiving numerous medals for his valor in combat.

A service will be held at Riverside Nassau Funeral Home, 55 N. Station Plaza, Great Neck, NY at 2pm on October 8, 2025.
