Anita was a fixture in my life since childhood. She took me to see The Sound of Music (perhaps for the 8th time?), was at my Bat Mitzvah in 1971, she and Bernie hosted my parent's 25th anniversary surprise party in 1977, she was at my wedding in 1991, and most recently celebrated Lisa's birthday with us in 2014. I'm so sorry I can't be there to share memories and my sympathies are with Andrew and Ellen and her community of friends.

I  have so many memories of Anita, many of which go back to my childhood. I am picturing her right now, sitting in an armchair next to my mother's bed, where my mother would be lying down, the two of them allegedly writing educational records, but, it seemed to the teenaged. me, spending more time planning snacks of Devil Dogs and shopping trips to Charlotte Rose Black.  It seemed quite an admirable work life. I will always remember the sense of warmth and interest in me I felt from Anita, and I am so sad about her death. Lisa Greenberg

Anita was a caring supervisor and a thoughtful, wise mentor.  It was my great pleasure to work for her and with her at Schneider Children's Hospital and at the NYU Child Study Center.  She set me on a path and helped me to grow as a person and as a professional.  Her love of writing and her writing acumen was unparalleled.
