Dr. Antoni John Jurkiewicz, 76, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026. Born on November 3,1949, in Vermont, Antoni dedicated his life to healing others and serving his community with compassion, skill, and unwavering integrity.

A distinguished general surgeon, Dr. Jurkiewicz’s career spanned decades, during which he touched countless lives through his expertise and gentle bedside manner. Colleagues admired his dedication, patience, and mentorship, while patients and families remember him as a healer in both body and spirit.

Tony’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He shared 37 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Yolanda, and was a devoted father to Alex and Emma. He cherished every moment spent with them—from family vacations and shared meals to quiet conversations filled with wisdom, humor, and love. He enjoyed the simple things in life like taking his children to baseball games, cooking thanksgiving meals, painting beautiful works of art and having a nice cigar while relaxing on the beach during vacation.

Tony leaves behind a legacy of service, love, and integrity that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

A private burial will be held for the family. Friends and family are welcomed to pay a Shiva visit on March 1, 2026 and March 2, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 160 Middle Neck Rd - Apt. 4k in Great Neck.
