She was born to the late Henry and Elsie Berger, October 19, 1920 in The Bronx, NY. She married the late Martin Block in 1941, and they lived together in Bayside, Queens. She later resided in Margate, Florida, before relocating to The Atria in Great Neck, New York.
Betty worked at Manufacturers Hanover bank and was also a homemaker. She is survived by her son and daughter- in- law Dennis and Lauren Block, and her son Stephen Block. She is also survived by her grandchildren Robert and Laurie, Tracy and Adam, Meredith and Justin, Eric and Pamela, and Joshua, as well as her six great-granddchildren Sarah, Jason, Maya, Ava, Ryan and Julianna.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 29 at 11:30 AM at Mount Moriah cemetery in Fairview, NJ. The family will sit shiva Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4-9 PM at 3 Overlook Circle in Manhasset.
