Dr. Garfinkel delivered both my daughters and was my doctor for  over 40 years.  He was a caring and warm man, always interested in learning about his patients' lives. He was the consumate professional. Dr. Marchbein told me of his passing yesterday. I respected him as a doctor and loved him as a person.

I am so sad at the passing of Uncle Burt.  There were so many times I would call him for advice and he never once said he was too busy.  Her alaways seemed in a good mood and I always enjoyed myself when I got to see him.  I miss him already Robert (Bobby)

Dear Aunt El, Joanne, Richard,Steven and families,
Even though we are not close in proxiity, we always felt close at heart. Uncle Burt was with me with the birth of my first child.  I remember coming out of my fog and thinking it was my dad. In our eyes, he never aged.  Rob and I loved him, admired him and will miss him terribly. He will be remebered as a terrific, warm and loving person.  And,yes, his humor was dry and witty.  He had his own giggle at the end of his stories which endeared him even more.  Love and strength to all of you, Beth and Rob

Dear Elenor, Rich, Joanne and Steven:  I am so sad to hear of Burt's passing but just so honored that I was able to have known him, a man of humor, intelligence, honor and kindness. I am very sad to read that the kind and compassionate gentleman has passed away and my sympathy to his family - from meeting him as a young patient to seeing him just before he retired - I am thankful for his true and professional interest in my health and his compassion.
