David Baer Monoson (b. 10/3/1924 to Herman Monoson and Pauline nee Henig of New York) died peacefully on January 9, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mimi (nee Hochman) of Baldwin, NY, devoted children Susan Sara Monoson-Berns (Michael Berns) and Seth H. Monoson (Jill Monoson), grandchildren Alexander Monoson Berns, Jacqueline Monoson and Harris Monoson, sister Marcia Grossman, loving nieces and nephews, and dear friends. WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy. Graduate of Long Island University. A pioneer in the early days of radio and television distribution and contributor to the development of the consumer electronics industry. An inventor. A strong presence with encyclopedic knowledge, an engaging story-teller and world traveler. Respected as a good and generous man with a powerful sense of curiosity and commitment to justice. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Private funeral service.
