Dr.David I'm truly going to miss you, you delivered both of my children you were a blessing to me and my family you were so good and kind we laugh at times I will miss you so much.

Dr. David was a great doctor and man. Under his guidance and support, we were blessed with our miracle Olivia. Unfortunately Olivia was born a few days after his passing. We will remind her of Dr. Rothbaum and how he always gave her an A+ when listening to her heartbeat. He was such a good man. His memory will live on with us forever. Our prayers are with his beautiful family.

Dr. David Rothbaum was the kindest and most dedicated doctor I have ever met. He was there for me when I suffered a terrible lose and even called me on a Saturday to make sure I was ok. He was always very helpful and caring. I will miss him tremendously. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

Dr. David you were a gift to us all.  You helped bring my three boys into the world.  You were my doctor for 25 years.  There is no one other than your brother Hal that I would ever go to for my Gyn needs.  I could call you at any time with even a small problem and your patented answer was come right in.  Your reassuring and compassionate manner would put my mind at ease.  I am devestated that you are gone.  I am speechless.  The world has lost a true diamond.  God bless the Rothbaum family.  May Dr Dave be in the arms of the angels because he was truly an earth angel during his time with us.  You will be missed so much.

I am devastated about Dr. David. He was a great man and doctor.  He delivered all 3 of my children and was always interested to hear how they were.  If I had any questions or concerns, he would get on the phone himself.  I really admired him and it will be impossible to fill his shoes!! I was shocked and so sad to hear of his passing.  I will never forget what a wonderful person he was.

I am stunned by the sudden loss of Dr. Rothbaum.  I just found out yesterday when I called to make my annual appointment with him.  He was THE most wonderful, kind, compassionate, gentle man.  He delivered my twin sons 23 years ago.  He guided me through my difficult pregnancy and safely brought my babies into the world.  I will never forget him and I will always miss him and hold my precious memories of him dear to my heart.  I am profoundly sad for his beautiful family.

I am hurt and sad by learning about his passing today. I called the office to schedule my appoint which I normally do every 3 months and when I learn from Margaret he passed away last month I burst out in tears at work and could no longer hear further details. I known Dr. Rothbaum for about 8 years now. He did my surgery back in 2008. a very gentle and good man. I would call him all the time whenever I had a question or concern about an odd symptoms and he would never brush me off. He always giggled. This news really hurts me. I just seen him back in March. I will miss you Dr. Rothbaum. You are loved by many thank you for everything. May you Rest in Peace.

I have just learned of Dr. David's passing.  I am so sad.  I have been Dr. David's patient for 25 years.   He was so caring, loving, and comforting in my sad times and happy times. I will miss you very much.  My condolences to his family.

It does not surprise me as I read what others wrote in Dr. Rothbaum's guest book that so many referred to him as an angel.  I, too, always used that word when speaking of him to others. He was the kindest, most caring doctor I have ever encountered and I cannot believe that this sweet, wonderful man is no longer with us.  I shed tears for his family and for all of his patients.  There will never be another like him.  I will always miss him.

My heart ached so when I heard of the passing of Dr David. A few days before I was just speaking his name to a friend. He delivered my last child and Dr Hal delivered my 2nd child. He will be missed dearly as I will be one of those missing him. Prayers to his entire family.

I only hope Dr. Rothbaum realized how he was my angel.  Several years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  He called to give me the news.  From day one, his calm, optimism and true caring got me through my journey.  I knew I would lick it, thanks to Dr. Rothbaum.

I also had a my membrane rupture two months early and had to stay in the hospital for over a month.  Dr. David would come and see me when he made his rounds , and it never crossed my mind that anything would be wrong with my baby. I had my angel, Dr. DAvid on my side.

I remember the first time I went to see Dr. David, he was young unmarried and was just beginning his practice.  I saw his practice grow and I saw his family grow with new pictures being added with the next child.

At each new visit to his office, his scrapbooks grew with pictures of the children he delivered, there were always letters from the proud parents with notes of gratitude.  He treated all of us the same and had the gift to make us feel so special.  

I cannot even fathom what a wonderful father and husband he must have been. I am so sad he was taken so young.

I just want you to know that Dr. DAvid was one of the most incredible people I have ever met in my life.  I really loved him and how he cared about me and my family and I loved him because he really was an angel here  on earth.

I will miss you more than you will ever know. My prayers and love to the family.  I am so sorry.

I am deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Dr. Rothbaum. A close friend had referred me to him and I was amazed when I called for the first time and Dr Rothbaum himself answered the phone, made my appointment, and gave me directions to his office over the phone. "What a mentsch," I thought. What Dr do u know that takes appointments for his patients, gives you directions and is filled with warmth and sincerity while doing it?? His voicemail even prompted me to press 3 to speak with him directly.. I can't tell u how many times I called and got him instantaneously to answer a question, a fear, a worry... What dr do u know does that?? There are none that I have ever met until dr Rothbaum came
into our lives... Dr Rothbaum was calm, cool, and collected for a type A , neurotic personality...it was a perfect match... After giving birth, I began to develop a migraine.. The nurse was supposed to sit by me and bring me water..she got called somewhere else and Dr Rothbaum brought me juice,and told me he would sit with me until the nurse came back...I recently sat in the office while waiting for an apptmt and a lady was sitting with me.. She told me she has been coming here for years and thinks dr Rothbaum was probably the sweetest man she knew...I of course agreed..a real mentsch indeed.. I like to think of him sitting in heaven with baby Angels around him. For whatever reason I think G-d needed him for them up there.. G-d bless his family and friends.. I feel truly lucky and blessed to have met such an incredible man and dr...

Dr. Rothbaum was the absolute most caring, sympathetic, kind and professional doctor I've ever met. The only doctor who made every patient feel like they were his favorite! He cared for me and delivered my first child and was currently under his care for my second pregnancy. The news of his passing was devastating. I am so sorry for his wife, children, family, friends and patients. He was truly and angel on Earth! I will miss him so an feel truly blessed to have had him in my life. He will always be remembered.

I was totally devastated when I heard Of Dr. David Rothbaum's passsing!  He was our "Angel", when we were referred to him by his nurse in Dec. of 1990. We used him for a second opinion, when I was diagnosed at age 42 with endometrial cancer.  He was reassuring, encouraging and informative.  He put our minds at ease, as he took each knowledgeable step in rechecking my diagnosis with a top pathologist...and then taking a course of action! After he did my surgery with the head of Oncology at N.S. Manhassett, each and every morning,I woke up to see him sitting on the edge of my bed, always concerned and encouraging, that each day I was going to feel stronger and better.  He was amazingly supportive to my husband and family.  Through the years, unfortunately there were other health concerns.  Dr. David, continued to be my very favorite informative source,answering every question and concern and encouraging me to ask my other Drs. all the proper questions, always instilling in me the ability and entitlement to ask these to other members of the medical community.  I have referred so many of my family and friends to him over the years, and they all had similar positive and inspiring stories to tell, of how they saved their lives, or saved their pregnancies, babies etc. I always pleaded with others to seek his advice with a second opinion from Dr. Rothbaum, and just as I assumed, they continued to use him with an excellent outcome for their situation.  Just two weeks ago, I saw him for my yearly checkup. As always, he sat patiently to get updates regarding my health, gave me "ammunition" for questions and concerns to pose to Drs., radiologists, etc. and impressed upon me, never to be intimidated by anyone in the medical field, regardless of their title!  I will never forget Dr. David, nor the care, encouragement and concern he offered me at each and every visit.  He will be forever in my heart!  Sincerely, Sandra Gallof

I literally was just informed about the passing of Dr. Rothbaum. What a shock it was to hear that. What a wonderful man. I have been a patient of his for many years and always enjoyed seeing him. He was the kindest, most considerate doctor I have ever had. What a tremendous loss for his family and all who knew him. I feel like I lost a friend. My heartfelt sympathy to his wife and children.

Dr. Rothbaum was my Doctor ,but I also worked with Him at North Shore He will be greatly missed.God bless his family at this time.

I just was with David and his daughter at our 30th medical school reunion at Boston University just a few weeks ago. I am so saddened to learn of his death. I've been in touch with the other classmates from that weekend and we are all in shock and mourning his passing.

Dr. David was a wonderful and kind man.  In the many years I was his patient we always shared a laugh and spoke of our families.  He was truly that rare type of Doctor who always called you back and never made you feel like you were bothering him.  It was an honor to know him, he will be missed by many.  My condolences to his family.

Dr Rothbaum was such a kind, gentle man. It is heartbreaking that he is gone. Prayers and condolences to his beautiful family and all who were lucky enough to have known him.

It is incomprehensible to me that a man who brought so many lives into this world should be robbed of his too soon. I have been Dr. Rothbaum's patient for what seems like an eternity; he became my daughter's doctor as well and delivered my grandchild. In a way that rarely happens with a doctor, he felt like family. He was kind, caring, patient, quick to share a laugh, never too busy to call you back or take the time to discuss concerns and give advise. What a hearbreaking loss for his family and patients. I will miss you, Dr. Rothbaum.

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.
