Eileen Ludwig Greenland

Eileen Ludwig Greenland, daughter of Isaac and Lena Epstein passed away on September 14, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husbands Melvin Ludwig and Leo Greenland and sister Phyllis Procton. She is survived by her sister Lois Kuh and four daughters; Susan Sedlmayr (Christopher Sedlmayr), Robin Ludwig Cohen (Martin Bernard), Leslee Halleran (Roy Halleran), and Penni Ludwig (John Evans).

Her loving legacy includes seven grand children; Theodor (Katarzyna), Daniel, Andrew (Bobbie), Lisa (Jon), Sarah, Greg, Chloe and five great grand children; Kovey, Abby, Frances, Charles and Oliver.

Eileen was an accomplished artist, master craftsman, interior designer, gardener and teacher of the art of the painted finish. She studied and taught faux finishes and color at the Isabel O,Neil Studio in Manhattan. She leaves behind an extensive body of works of art, often collaborating with some of the most distinguished people in the arts at the time and many of her pieces were sold at auction at Sotheby's.

Additionally, Eileen was a tremendous philanthropist donating generously to Rheumatoid Arthritis research and many organizations around the globe benefitting humanitarian causes and the arts too numerous to list.

She had tremendous style and flair that impressed all who knew her and a social gift that will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.
