Evelyn I. Klimpl

KLIMPL, Evelyn I. died May 4, 2014, at the age of 95, surrounded by her family. Evelyn was the matriarch of the Klimpl, Glickstein and Newman clan. She lived a life she recently described as “wonderful”. She was the widow of Emanuel Klimpl, mother of Judith (Paul Berger), Michael (Susan) and Kenneth, sister of Howard Glickstein and Helaine Newman (Lawrence), grandmother of Brian Blitz (Yana), Jason Klimpl (Anne), Rebecca Winerman (Evan), Timothy Klimpl (Blake), Dr. David Klimpl and Richard Klimpl; Great-grandmother of Benjamin Blitz, Samuel Blitz, Matthew Winerman and Emanuelle Klimpl. Aunt of Debra Kochman (Ronald) and their children, Alex, Jenny, Emily and Samantha; Daniel Newman (Shari) and their children, Hannah, Rachel; and Karen Newman and her daughter, Allison. Evelyn set the standards for her family. She was intimately involved in everyone’s life and her caring was reciprocated by universal respect and deep love. Services Tuesday 1pm at Riverside Nassau North Chapel 55 North Station Plaza Great Neck, NY. Interment Maimonides Cemetery. Shiva will be held at the home, following interment, from 5:30-9:00 pm.
