Dear Claudia and family,
I just learned of Ira's passing today. I can tell you that he will be greatly missed. I truly loved this guy even though our paths had not crossed for some time ...one could never really forget Ira..
 He was a joy to be with, talk to and laugh with. He was a unique, one of a kind gentle, loving human being and always offered to help people.


The world has lost a very dear soul,

I only met Ira this year as a member of the OPC senior softball team in Rochester Hills, MI.  We became instant friends.  I will always remember his kindness, his sense of humor and his great smile.  I wish we had met years earlier.  My deepest sympathy goes out to the whole family.

Any and every time I was with Ira was one of laughter, light and care.  

Regaling us with stories, of his police days, moving to Michigan, walking the walk races, always laughter, joy, and happiness was Ira.  Professionally brilliant too, he fostered relationships, built businesses, approaching work like life.  One never sensed Ira's toils were work;  when you love what you, it just isn't work.  

I will miss his presence; when you were with him, he was with you in a way not often seen.
