My dearest Aunt Lee was one of the most important people in my life.  I lived with her and my Uncle Ed my junior year of high school to pursue my dance dreams (1986-1987).  I have the most wonderful memories of my time living in Roslyn with them.  I managed to throw a surprise 60th birthday party for Lee that year, and coordinated my father/her brother, Ernie, flying in from Alabama to surprise her.   Aunt Lee always made an effort to keep in touch with me through the years and let me know that she deeply cared about me.  In June of 2001, she came to my wedding in Denver to celebrate with me and my husband, Mike, our family and friends.  Lee found a Rabbi in Cohasset, MA., to lead my father's service in September of 2017.  Lee sat by my side to support me before and after I gave my dear father's eulogy.  Matthew was there to support Lee and hold an umbrella over her to protect her from the cold, rain and wind that day.  Lee made a special point to call me when my mother, Lee, passed away in April of 2020.  Lee called me on December 28, 2024, and we spoke for about a half hour.  I had a feeling it would be my last time to speak with her, and I made note of it.  I kept telling her how much I loved her and how much she meant to me before we got off the phone.  I will remember Lee for her authenticity, her bold and unapologetic personality, her impeccable style, her endless energy, her incredible wisdom and advice, her passion and devotion to causes in which she believed, her love, pride and commitment to all whom she called her own, her capacity to speak on any topic and contribute to any conversation, her ability to deeply love others and make them feel special,  her love of life, travel and sense of adventure, her sharp wit and humor, her intellect, her love for her religion, Jewish heritage and the Arts, and her softer side of gentleness, empathy, compassion and adoration.  Lee's legacy will live on in all of us who will miss her immeasurably.

Lee was a dear friend who I was blessed to know. When my mother told me I had the chance to walk a nice woman's dog as my first job, I jumped at the offer. It has been nearly ten years and Mrs. Parker consistently kept in touch. Few people truly take the time to sit with you and ask you about your hopes, dreams, aspirations, and hobbies, and listen so deeply. Lots of love to her immense and wonderful family who have made me feel so warm and cared for all these years.

Dear Family of the remarkable and effervescent, indomitable and passionate Lee Parker. We send our loving regards for your loss. Lee was one of the rare people who had firm beliefs and an open mind, certainty and clarity and yet was always listening to new ideas. While 97 in years, she was young in beauty and outlook. How can we forget the precious moments at your kitchen table. I learned so much from you including my children. We will cherish those moments forever.
