

Maureen K. Neiman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, died on May 27, 2025, at the age of 81. Maureen and her husband of over 53 years, Matthew, who preceded her in death, were longtime residents of Roslyn, N.Y.
Born in Lima, Ohio to Marvin and Grace (Griffith) Lubinsky on February 21, 1944, Maureen (Rene) graduated from Port Washington (N.Y.) High School in 1962, and C.W. Post (now Long Island University) with a degree in Library Science.
She and Matthew (Matt) married on June 27, 1965, and headed for Texas where he served as a captain in the Army at Fort Hood (now Fort Cavazos) until 1967. Afterwards, Matt opened his dental practice in Port Washington, N.Y., serving the community until his retirement in 2011. Rene worked as the dental office receptionist in later years.
She also worked many years in ticket sales for both the Nassau Coliseum and Madison Square Garden.
Rene is survived by her son Daniel A. Neiman and his wife Peggy (Glanzman) of Ardsley, N.Y., and Dan's beloved sons Jesse Carlos and Drew Maddox. She is also survived by
her daughter Karen Emily and her husband Nathan C. Jones of Rockaway, N.J., and their loving children Noah Campbell and Lucy Grace.
Rene is also survived by her brothers, Marvin Lubinsky and his wife Mary of Richardson, Texas, Timothy L. Lubinsky and his wife Jane of Charlotte, N.C., and David Lubinsky of Clearwater, Fla., as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rene is also survived by her brother-in-law, Magistrate Judge Kenneth P. Neiman and his wife Janice Dumond Neiman of Northampton, Mass.
Services will be held at Riverside-Nassau North Chapel in Great Neck at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025, followed by interment at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in Rene’s honor be made to the Make a Wish Foundation (Wish.org), the National Alliance on Mental Illness (namiwestchester.org), or the American Red Cross (redcross.org).
