Muriel Borin

Borin, Muriel. September 14, 2012. Age 90. Beloved wife of the late Louis Borin, daughter of Benjamin and Ceil Frankel, brother of the late Myron (Bud) Frankel. Graduate of Newtown High School, Hunter College and the Pennsylvania School of Social Work. Long-time resident of Great Neck, New York. Muriel was a pioneer feminist and champion of women’s issues. She was an avid gardener, birding enthusiast and, with Lou, loved square dancing. She is survived by her children Iris Schifeling (Richard) and Glenn (Eleanore Schreiner), grandsons, Jeremy (Rachel), Todd (Katie), Daniel and Matthew, and step-sister Faith Marshall (Lou). Funeral Services Sunday September 16, 2012 at 10:00am at Riverside-Nassau North Chapels, 55 North Station Plaza, (Opp LIRR), Great Neck, New York. Interment to follow at Washington Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.
