Rachael and I were friends in Hunter high school (there we are together in white). During a time of growing pains, uncertainty and self-discovery, her friendship was like a balm. Her love was solid and true. I felt honored and blessed to have known her.

Michael and I are friends from business school and worked together at our first job post B-School. I met Rachael years later when they were dating and then married. She was so kind and lovely. Rachael and I were pregnant at the same time when we lived on the UWS and the boys are very close in age. Michael, Ezra and family we are so sorry for your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I met Rachel about 5 years ago because my husband Marc has been friends with Mike since high school. She was such a good person. So warm, welcoming and funny. I loved every minute I spent with her. Rachael and I met at Hebrew U junior year of college and have been friends ever since. She was always there for me when I needed a friend. We both loved the color purple, sushi and the beach. We spent many holidays and Shabbatot together. We helped each other during the single years in NYC, through marriage and parenthood. Michael and Ezra were the biggest joys and loves of her life. She will be deeply missed. 

I went to Hunter High School with Rachel and reunions and facebook got us back in touch.  She was the kindest, most loving supportive soul.    When I come out to give presentations for Port Washington Public Library - she would come when she can and we'd catch up.  I am so grateful to have known her. 

Most beautiful, genuine smile. It will be in our heats forever- guiding us and reminding us what matters. 

So very sorry for the loss of Rachael. We are here for the Smolow family and can help in any way you need. Thinking of you and your family.
