Roslyn Becker

Roslyn Becker, age 95, of Queens, NY, passed away Sunday, March 5th, 2023, peacefully in her sleep. Born to Louis and Ana Spielberg in Brooklyn, NY, she leaves behind two loving sons, Robert and Richard, Robert’s wife Cathy, four cherished grandchildren - Reyna (Tim), Sara (Marcin), Jesse, and Jennifer, Jen's mother Sharon Ittah, - and three beloved great grandchildren - Tallula, Fiona, and Kiara.

Roslyn was known by family and friends to be generous, loving, and kind. She never regarded herself to be above anyone else; rather, she let everyone around her know, through her speech and actions, that she truly respected and appreciated them. She was humble - if, upon reflection, she felt she had made a mistake, she was quick to admit it and apologize. As an interior decorator, she had a keen sense of beauty which translated to keeping a lovely, welcoming home, as well as creating beauty in the homes of others. She approached her work as an artist, ever striving to fulfill her aesthetic ideals. Roslyn was also an avid home entertainer who loved having people over for gourmet meals prepared with the greatest of care.

Roslyn was honest with herself and those around her and carried herself with dignity. She had a great sense of humor, with an infectious laugh that could lighten up a room. She will always be loved and remembered for her goodness, love, and kindness. May she Rest in Peace.
