Roslyn Wolk

WOLK--Roslyn (Finkelstein), 95, passed away peacefully at home, February 23, 2017. The daughter of Max and Beatrice Finkelstein and sister of Muriel (Fox) and Harriet(Moss), Roz was raised in Queens, N.Y. A 1942 NYU graduate, she married Jerome Wolk in 1946. For over 40 love filled years, Roz raised a family in Great Neck, where she has resided since 1949, and traveled the world with Jerry. Since her husband's death in 1990, Roz has enjoyed the love and companionship of her children, Barbara (Paul) Briamonte, whose home she shared, and Lawrence (Susie) Wolk, as well as her grandsons, Adam, Danny and Jack and her many nieces, nephews and friends. A master bridge player, Roz possessed a fine wit, a perceptive understanding of people, and in her later years, a willingness to express her opinion about current events. Her mind never failed and she passed knowing that she had been blessed with a long and full life. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice .
