Phil, Pat, & family.  Sending good wishes at a difficult time. While death has the sadness of a final parting, one must also look at the entirety of Sally's life.  Her survival of the Holocaust & subsequent success in a new land marks her as a woman of great resilience, tenacity, & courage.  Hers is a legacy to be celebrated & preserved.

To Phillip and Family of Sally Bach,

Sally was Ella Majersfeld's second cousin. Phillip, your grandmother was Ella's mother's sister.  Jack Saltzman, Sally  and their mother were the only survivors, our only living relatives on Ella's side from before the war.

As such, we cherished our relationship through the years and the miles, right up until this passed year.  Sally was  unbelievably uplifting in spirit, always inviting and welcoming, always warm and willing to do her best to make her family feel at home.

We had been trying to reach her for a few months to no avail, and sadly, the
most recent effort we made was on Thursday, on  the same Thursday that she gave in to her illness.

Sally will be sadly missed. The family meant everything to her, and every member will remember her voice, her enthusiasm,  her desire to be together 
with family members, and to see everyone happy and doing right by eachother.

 Sally is bringing us together now; family members will now make greater efforts to be in touch, finding eachother's contact information.  And that is what Sally would have wanted.

You have been an amazing support through Sally's illness, and the family applauds how she was looked after and that she was able to stay home through her long illness.

Though we are not able to be there with you  at this difficult time, our hearts are with you.
