Stuart F. Ayre

Ayre, Stuart Frederic, age 75 of Sands Point passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 26, 2026, after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his family and friends, who are devastated by his death.

Stuart was the son of Helen and Harry Ayre and the brother of Barry K. Ayre. He joined J. Rice Plastics, a fifth-generation family business right out of school and which is now Ribon Industries, a major distributor of glass and plastics containers. Stuart loved his job and was liked and respected by customers, suppliers and his devoted staff.

His professional success was due to his knowledge of business and finance, his decision-making ability, his can-do attitude and his disarming smile.

Stuart is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lois, his daughter, Jessica and her husband, Jared (Rennert) and their 2 children, Hayleigh and Harrison. His family always brought great joy to his life. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Gillian Harnik, many cousins, nieces & nephews. He is already deeply missed.

We make space in our hearts for grief, but we celebrate this special man that was Stuart F. Ayre.

Services are private at the request of the family.

A shiva is planned for Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Thursday, April 30, 2026 and Friday, May 1, 2026. The Memorial Service is Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
