Susan Carey Samuels-Hochberg

Carey was born in Rochester, NY to Howard & Barbara Samuels on April 5th, 1946. She was raised in a large family, being the 2nd oldest of 10 children. She went to Rosemary Hall High School & New York University with a degree in Education. After raising her children she found her passion as a Yoga Teacher, obtaining her certificate from Kripalu in Lenox, MA. Yoga became a huge part of Carey’s life, teaching at various locations for people with a range of capabilities, including people with medical conditions.

Carey is survived by her husband Mark Hochberg, daughter’s Jessica & Sabrina, and grandchildren Alana & Aiden, as well as her nine siblings and their respective families.

Funeral services will be held at Riverside-Nassau North Chapels in Great Neck NY on July 3rd at 9:30am. Burial will directly follow at Southampton Cemetery, 545 North Sea Road.
