Vilma Farman who passed on 12/31. She is survived by her husband, Jack, their children Nicola and Lance, Jessica and Brian and Peter and Gayle as well as their grandchildren, Sloan, Emma and Katie. She was admitted to the Bar in South Africa,a rarity for a woman at the time. In the early 60’s she contributed to a book about a banned person in South Africa at a time when to do so meant jail or being banned herself. In the mid 1960’s, she and her family emigrated to the US; first to New Haven and later to Great Neck. She owned Pied Piper Toys in the Americana in Manhassett along with her partner, Dorrit Ger. Her passions included glass art, music, dance and politics and most of all laughter. Her family was always first. We will miss your love and nurturing.
