Adeline Johnson, 88, of Loveland, passed away at home on April 10, 2016. Born to Dennis and Lottie (Kazmierczak) Kubicki on May 16, 1927, in Joliet, IL, Adeline grew up in the Chicago area. On November 15, 1947, Adeline married Florian J. Adent and they shared their life together in St. Joseph, MI until his death in 1968.
On July 5, 1974, Adeline married Charles (Chuck) A. Johnson in St. Joseph. Chuck and Adeline moved to Loveland in 1984 to pursue better work opportunities. While in Loveland, Adeline was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Parish. She was involved in many church and community activities as a member of the Catholic Council of Women.
Adeline was always willing to lend a helping hand to others and was known for her ready smile and twinkling eyes. Her endearing sweet and polite disposition remained with her through the last days of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents Dennis and Lottie, husbands Florian and Chuck, sisters Alice Wcislo and Sally Sullivan, and brother Art Kubicki.
Adeline is survived by her daughter Kathleen Adent of Loveland, son Kenneth (Ginny) Adent of Loveland, son Phillip Adent of Santa Clara, UT, stepdaughters Christine (Jack) Bartholmey of Portage, MI and Charlene (Mark) Duymovic of Matthews, NC; 10 grandchildren - Jeremy (Sara) Adent, Meghan (Ben) Adent, Amanda (Steve) Irons, Cody (Meagan) Adent, Hannah Adent, Sarah Adent, Justin (Erin) Lotto, Joshua Lotto, Dan (Katie) Duymovic and Lindsey Duymovic, 7 great grandchildren and brother Ned Kubicki .
Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family has requested memorials be made to Stepping Stones Adult Day Care in Loveland through Allnutt Funeral Services. Adeline’s journey with Alzheimer’s was made much less difficult through the time she spent at Stepping Stones and her family will be ever grateful for the loving care she received there.
