Adrienne Gehrke

Adrienne Marie Gehrke, 14, of Evans, died Thursday, February 23, 2017 at North Colorado Medical Center. She was born on January 15, 2003 in Fairbanks, Alaska to David Michael and Leshay Marie (Brown) Gehrke.

When Adrienne was six months old her family was stationed at Ft. Lewis, Washington. She moved to Evans when she was two years old to be with family. She was currently an 8th grade student at Frontier Academy.

Gym Starz Elite was a large part of Adrienne’s love of gymnastics. She also enjoyed dancing and listening to music. She adored her cat, “Luna”.

Adrienne traveled throughout the world with her mom, visiting many different countries. She loved New York City and had recently traveled there with her mom and cousin, Koedi. Her favorite things about New York City were the theater shows and all of the activities.

Adrienne is survived by her mother, Leshay Marie Gehrke and step-father, Kyle Stanley of Evans; grandparents, Kelley M. Elliott of Greeley, Mary Ann and Tom O’Neal of Johnstown and David Stanley of La Salle; great-grandparents, Donna Kirkland of Ohio and Agnes and J.T. Downey of Denver; aunt, Chealsey Greer of Greeley; uncle, Avery Brown of Ft. Morgan. She was dearly loved by her many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Michael Gehrke on March 28, 2005.

A Celebration of Adrienne’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Journey Christian Church, 4754 W. 31st St., Greeley. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
