Alan Dale Pelton, 60, of Greeley, died Friday, October 17, 2014 at Hospice of Northern Colorado inpatient unit. Alan was born on June 24, 1954 in Fort Morgan to Rodney Junior and Caroline Ruth (Foos) Pelton.
Alan and his family moved to Greeley in 1960, where he attended schools at Franklin Elementary and Scott Elementary, Heath Jr. High and graduated from Greeley West High School in 1972.
After graduation he was married and worked for King Soopers in the Denver area. He moved to Greeley, working at the Fairfield Inn and Wal-Mart.
Alan loved camping, water skiing and his gun collection. He enjoyed spending time with his dog, Spirit and his mother’s dog, Cookie.
Alan is survived by his mother, Caroline Pelton of Greeley; sister, Debbie Ferguson (Edwin) of Greeley; a niece, Shannon Collinge (Lucas) of La Salle and their children, Paige, Trevor, Cameron and Leland Collins; nephew, Mark Ferguson of Greeley and his children, Justein Paolasso and Logan Ferguson.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Lee Jay Pelton.
