Alice Kristine Cooper

October 8, 1925April 29, 2019

Alice Kristine, born October 8, 1925, went to be with her Lord on Monday evening, April 29, 2019. She was born in Commerce City, Colorado, the youngest of two daughters, to John and Lela Juhl. Her parents and her sister Frances proceeded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine (Pearson) Emler and family of Lindsborg, Kansas, and her son, Marshall Pearson and family of Littleton, Colorado. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Greeley, Colorado, where she was active in supporting her Lord, providing transportation for fellow members to and from church, organizing the sewing groups quilting, distributing the finished quilts locally, as well as packing and mailing quilts to Lutheran World Relief. She always brought enough food for others to participate in church gatherings. Her church was her life and there is no doubt that she missed her church as much as her church missed her during her years with Alzheimer’s.

During her life she was an active volunteer with Weld County Cowbells, the Red Cross, the Weld County Hospital Gray Ladies and the Weld County Senior Center.

Following a private family interment at Linn Grove Cemetery, there will be a Celebration of Life at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greeley at 11:00 on Saturday, May 11, 2019.

Please visit to send condolences to the family.

So sorry to see about Alice’s passing. She was such a good neighbor and friend to both my mom & dad (Arlo & Rita Harris) when they all lived over by 9th Street & 35/36th Ave. She was so kind and always available to take my mom (who didn’t drive) to church or to go make quilts. They were the best of friends. I’m so thankful she was always there for them.
